Chief Executive Officer
Lynn Truelove has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Stone County Hospital since April of 2017. During his extensive career in healthcare administration, he has served as the Chief Executive Officer with Rapides Regional Medical Center for 18 years in Alexandria, Louisiana, as the Administrator of Singing River Hospital, and with the health system for more than fifteen years.
He is a graduate of the University of West Alabama, formerly known as Livingston University, Livingston, Alabama with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration (1978) from University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration (1981). During his thirty-eight years (38) in healthcare administration, Mr. Truelove has enjoyed working with community hospitals and health systems to improve the care to its community. In addition, he was appointed as an adjunct faculty member and preceptor with the University of Alabama at Birmingham Program in Hospital and Healthcare Administration. He and his wife, Terry, have two daughters and two grandchildren.
Dr. David Northington
Chief Medical Officer
Stone County Hospital is pleased to welcome David Northington, D.O. as the new Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Northington has over 25 years of experience in Internal Medicine. He has held previous positions at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport, most recently as the Chief Medical Information Officer. In his current position, he serves as the CMO for Stone County Hospital, Woodland Village Nursing Center, Stone County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and Leakesville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Chief Nursing/Quality Officer
Theresa Payne R.N. holds a position that allows her to continue the leadership and service she has brought to the facility over the past few years. She has more than 30 years of prior nursing experience in various roles within the hospital setting. Prior to this position, she was the Director of Quality and Risk Management and the Facility Compliance Officer for the past two years.
Chief Financial Officer
A seasoned financial manager, Tammy Harrell has over 24 years of experience in accounting, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, cost reporting, revenue management and clinical improvements. She also brings experience with startup and financial management of hospital-related operations, including rural health clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and ambulance operations.
With many rural hospitals struggling to stay open, I work to make sure we have the resources necessary to continue our important work serving the community.
