WIGGINS, MS (Aug 18, 2016) – Stone County Hospital (SCH) is replacing one of their three ambulances that is currently in service with a new state-of-the-art ambulance that is fully equipped and guaranteed to leave Stone County residents in awe.
The new ambulance was built strictly for SCH and will serve as a major advantage for the hospital and the community. EMS Supervisor, Marilyn Mallett NREMT-P, is one of many hospital employees excited about the change.
“I am beyond delighted,” Mallett said. “We’ve been waiting for a month so it can’t get here fast enough. It feels like Christmas in August.”
Mallett describes how unimaginable it is to be able to have an ambulance as beneficial as their new ambulance and how it is the best of the best. As a part of their community outreach, SCH provides free use of their ambulance. It will be used for area sporting events such as football games, an upcoming triathlon, and other various community events.
SCH will take possession of the ambulance at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning.
